Registered Employee Credential

All employees of licensed pest control companies who engage in the performance or solicitation of structural pest control services must be registered with the Department of Agriculture or work in the presence of a certified operator or registered employee. Licensees must notify the GDA of employees who fail to become registered within 30 days of employment.

To become registered, the applicant must receive 10 hours of classroom training from a Certified Operator or SPCC Approved Instructor over the topics outlined in the Rules of the Georgia Structural Pest Control Commission section 620-3-.02(1)(e)(1) and must complete 70 hours of on-the-job training under the constant supervision of a certified operator or a registered employee in the categories in which registration is sought. The training must be documented on the SPCC Pre-Examination Training Form. The applicant must also pass the employee registration examination and pay the $10 registration fee. Examinees can refer to the Employee Registration Manual in preparation for the exam.

For more guidance on how to comply with the employee registration rule of the licensing chapter of the Rules of the Georgia Structural Pest Control Commission, please view Notice 18-05 Employee Registration Compliance Fact Sheet.
