ATLANTA, GA – Today, following Secretary Brooke Rollins’ announcement that USDA FSA offices will resume core operations during the government shutdown, Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tyler J Harper issued the following statement.
“For more than three weeks, the Democrat shutdown, which Senators Ossoff and Warnock fully support, has left Georgia farm families without access to the most essential farm support services and done significant damage to our state’s #1 industry,” said Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tyler J Harper. “While Georgia’s two Senators have chosen to put party politics ahead of the well-being of the American people, President Trump is once again delivering on his promise to support American agriculture. I encourage all Georgia farmers to call Senators Ossoff & Warnock, make their voices heard, and urge them to open the federal government.”
