Atlanta, Ga - Today, Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tyler Harper released a statement applauding EPA Administrator Michael Regan for issuing an Existing Stocks Order for Dicamba products. On February 6, 2024, the United States District Court of Arizona vacated the EPA registrations of three Dicamba products - effectively forcing farmers to discontinue use of a commonly used pesticide. This order allows farmers to continue using existing stocks of Dicamba products that are already in the farmer’s possession or that entered the supply chain prior to 2/6/2024.
“Georgia cotton and soybean farmers can rest a little easier this evening knowing that existing stocks of OTT Dicamba products can be used for the 2024 growing season,” said Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tyler Harper. “I want to thank EPA Administrator Regan for swiftly issuing this much-needed Existing Stocks Order, averting a potential crisis for Georgia farmers and farm families.”
